According to the report “the State of Broadband 2015” released by the International Telecommunication Union ITU , Lebanon has ranked first among the Arab Countries (47th globally) in terms of fixed-broadband subscriptions per 100 capita. Lebanon also ranked 8th among the Arab countries (57th globally) in terms of mobile broadband subscriptions per 100.

Lebanon has over the past few years made significant improvements in the area of innovation due to the vitality of the private sector and the persistent efforts of Lebanese entrepreneurs. In 2017, Lebanon ranked 1st among 64 countries in terms of innovation level in early stage entrepreneurial activity and ranked 4th globally on the note of new firm entrepreneurs.
