VISIT OF THE AMBASSADOR OF SWEDEN TO LEBANON H.E. MR. JÖRGEN LINDSTRÖM

Ambassador of Sweden to Lebanon, H.E. Mr. Jörgen Lindström visited IDAL accompanied by representatives from the Swedish Trade and Invest Council “Business Sweden", on a fact-finding mission to explore investment opportunities in Lebanon. During the meeting, IDAL Chairman Mr. Nabil Itani highlighted the already strong history of cooperation between Lebanon and Sweden in the Technology and ICT sectors, while noting the ample opportunities available for Swedish businesses to invest, not only in Tech and ICT, but also in the rest of Lebanon’s productive sectors.

"IMPROVING THE EASE OF DOING BUSINESS IN THE TECH SECTOR" WORKSHOP

IDAL participated at the "Improving the Ease of Doing Business in the Tech Sector" workshop held by the Ministry of state for Investment and Technology in the Grand Serail. Chairman Nabil Itani stressed on the need to spread innovation to all Lebanese regions. IDAL is currently working on a series of proposals to create clusters of innovation hubs across Lebanon.

“LEBANON COUNTRY PRESENTATION” EVENT ORGANIZED BY THE ITALIAN TRADE AGENCY

As part of the Lebanese delegation, IDAL participated at the “Lebanon Country Presentation” event organized by the Italian Trade Agency in Rome, presenting investment opportunities in Lebanon to 100 Italian companies. This presentation aimed at introducing the Italian business community to the promising investment opportunities in Lebanon and exploring areas of cooperation in various economic sectors.

IDAL's Chairman, Eng. Nabil Itani, emphasized on the role Lebanon is playing in the Middle East as a business hub, and talked about the promising investment opportunities in the productive sectors.

OECD REGIONAL WORKSHOP ON “IMPROVING THE USE OF INVESTMENT INCENTIVES IN THE MED REGION"

IDAL participated at the OECD Regional Workshop on “Improving the use of investment incentives in the Med region". Chairman Eng. Nabil Itani said that the projects benefiting from IDAL's incentives have had an important impact on the economic growth and job creation, achieving growth in the productive sectors by 18% and creating more than 35,000 direct and indirect job opportunities. Upon him, tax incentives in Lebanon had little impact on the state's financial revenues, while having a significant impact on economic growth and job creation.
